• AMERICAN KITE…Summer ’95 Edition featured an article on the MEFM and its legendary designer, Ray Bordelon. In relation to the MEFM this was said, “Materials like Icarex  sails and G-Force tapered spars make the kite a full-on technological powerhouse. But none of it is done for any thing other than performance - if form ever followed function, it does so on the MEFM.....The MEFM shows the designer's nature. • KITES MAGAZINE U.K….Jan ’96, review. “…This kite claims to have a wind range of 0-30mph. Now that’s impressive. The flyer can set the kite with a low, medium or high aspect ratio according to the wind conditions by the way they manipulate the bridle and set the spreader spacers.  Okay I know it looks good, but does it deliver? I flew the MEFM on 100ft Shanti Spectra and it literally blew my mind. This was no sheep in wolves clothing. Some things in life are poor and others good, this was exceptional – pure excellence. Tracking, the like of which I have never seen and yet an ability to turn on a sixpence. Axles as clean as a whistle, tip stands, stalls, helicopters, there was nothing this kite did not excel at. Control – I really felt like this kite was part of me, it just responded to my every movement precisely, yet would be very forgiving.” “Do not be fooled into thinking that this is one kite, I reckon its five. A competition flyer would love this kite, so would a trick flyer, a recreational flyer, in fact I think everyone would endorse this kite. The MEFM is superb, they say a kite is only as good as its flyer, well they obviously have not seen the MEFM.”

• LEADING EDGE KITES…Bob Dawson would often be regarded as Australia’s best kite designer, everything from single line, a vast array of dual lines, and most recently some really hot kite surfing stuff.
