Quite simply put, to make the worlds best Sport Kite you need the highest quality component materials. Every part of the MEFM, and there are around 100 individual parts, is of unsurpassed quality.

 ICAREX RIPSTOP POLYESTER SAIL…this 1/2 ounce fabric is the state of the art in kite sail technology. While many kites are constructed of Nylon, the MEFM uses ICAREX for these reasons-

• Better strength to weight ratio. Lighter, yet much stronger than most ¾ ounce Nylons.  
   

• Outstanding U.V. resistance. Colors stay brighter longer,…much longer. Fabric lasts longer. Your MEFM will still look, and fly, like new after many hours of flying.  
  

• Far less moisture absorption. In heavy/damp air you can fly when others are waiting for more breeze. If you land in water, no problem, the MEFM won’t become ‘waterlogged.’  
  

• ICAREX refracts light like no other. With the sun behind it, ICAREX just shines.

This amazing fabric is woven in Japan by third generation silk weavers before being dyed and a special polycarbonate coating applied at one of Japan's most modern dyeing and finishing facilities.

G-FORCE WRAPPED TAPERED GRAPHITE SPARS…these outstanding spars were developed in conjunction with the MEFM. Precision engineered of the highest grade materials, the G-Force family has proven itself over the years at all levels of competition.. 

By having a spar that varies in strength and flex a wing can be designed for maximum aerodynamic efficiency

AVIA SPORT CARBON KITE SPARS…manufactured with over 348,000 pure carbon fibers firmly bound together by a highly advanced and super toughened resin matrix. These spars surpass steel in tensile strength yet weigh an outstanding 40% less than aluminium.

Premium carbon fibers assure properties beyond what any metal shaft or hybrid alu-composite and many other carbon spars offer.
